How to sign a PDF

Sign a PDF by drawing, typing or uploading a signature — no printing, scanning or account required.

Short answer: open the Sign PDF tool or the editor, choose Signature, then draw, type or upload. Click the page to place it and download the signed PDF.

Three ways to sign

1. Draw

Pick the Signature tool, click on the page, and draw with your mouse, finger or stylus. Useful when you want a natural handwritten look.

2. Upload

If you have a saved signature image (PNG with transparency is best), upload it. Place it on the page and resize.

3. Type (visual)

Type your name and place it as styled text. This is a visual signature, not a cryptographic one.

Placement tips

• Zoom to 100% before placing to get the size right.
• Signatures on the signature line should sit just above it — leave a few points of space.
• Date fields: place a small text box next to the signature line.
• If a form has multiple signatories, sign the appropriate box for your role.

What this does and does not do

Omni PDF adds a visible signature to the document. The result opens correctly in any PDF reader. It does not add a cryptographic digital signature (the kind that seals the document against later modification). For legal contracts that require digital signatures, use a dedicated e-signature service — the visual signature here is appropriate for internal documents, forms and everyday agreements.
